The HP Mini 1000 netbook is about an inch thick and weighs just 2.25 pounds. But in order to achieve that small size, HP made a few compromises. The maximum hard drive capacity is 60GB, because HP wanted to use an affordable 1.8″ HDD. And instead of a full sized VGA port, there’s a proprietary display port that requires a VGA adapter. While the netbook has been available for several months, the VGA cable hasn’t.
But it looks like HP finally has the VGA cable in stock. You can now pick one up for $19.99 from the HP web site, with same day shipping.
