Samsung N110 available for pre-order

samsung-n110Buy.com is taking pre-orders for the upcoming Samsung N110 netbook. The N110 is an incremental update to Samsung’s popular NC10 mini-laptop. The new netbook has rounded corners instead of the sharper edges on the NC10, and the N110 has a 6 cell battery that reportedly lasts for up to 9.5 hours.

While Samsung hasn’t announced an official release date yet, the company is preparing to push out the N110 soon, and will likely replace the older NC10 with this model. It looks like the two computers will be similarly priced. Buy.com is charging $441.99 plus free shipping.

MSI Wind U100 with 6 cell battery for $385

wind-u100-buycom

Online retailer Buy.com is running a deal that will let you snag an MSI Wind U100 netbook with a 160GB hard drive, 1GB of RAM and a 6 cell battery for $384.95 after rebate. That’s well below the list price, and about $40 cheaper than I’ve seen this model anywhere else this week.

MSI Wind U100 for $300 after rebate

msi-wind-u100-300It’s probably too early to call this a permanent price drop, but it looks like $300 is the new $350 for the MSI Wind U100. Computer store Micro Center offered the netbook for $299 the weekend before Thanksgiving, and again on Black Friday weekend. And now online retailer Buy.com is selling the MSI Wind U100 for $299.95 after a $50 mail-in rebate.

This particular model comes wiht a 10.2 inch, 1024 x 600 pixel display, a 1.6GHz Intel Atom CPU, 1GB of RAM and a 120GB hard drive. It runs Windows XP and supports 802.11b/g wireless connections. If you want a 6 cell battery or Bluetooth support you’ll have to pay extra.

Samsung NC10 now shipping in the US

Samsung NC10 at Buy.com

Samsung NC10-14GW Netbook Intel Atom 1.6GHz, 1GB, 160GB HD, 10.2 Widescreen WSVGA, 802.11 b/g, Bluetooth, Windows XP Home (White)

The Samsung NC10 has been available in parts of Europe and Asia for a few weeks now, but the netbook is just starting to ship in the US. Online retailer Buy.com has the computer in stock for $499 and says it ships in just 1-2 business days.

Other retailers, including Amazon are still taking pre-orders, but if you’re willing to wait a bit longer, Update: Amazon now has the NC10 in stock for $488. My guess is we’ll start to see the Samsung NC10 show up on a number of online stores over the next few weeks. No word on whether it’ll make an appearance at bricks and mortar locations in the US.
