The Acer Aspire One is probably the cheapest laptop you’re going to find with an Intel Atom CPU anytime soon. With prices starting at just $379, Acer has managed to undercut Asus, MSI, and other computer makers while still offering decent performance and a 9 inch display. Some users have complained that the solid state disk used by the Aspire One is slower than those used in competing laptops though.

Acer is also one of the first companies to adopt Linpus Linux Lite as an operating system. Linpus Linux Lite was designed specifically for ultraportable computers and has an easy to use program launcher similar to the “Easy Mode” interface that comes with Linux versions of the Asus Eee PC.

If it had Windows I'd buy it. But I just can't pony up the cash for a laptop that can't run the software I use.

They're expecting more 'soon' they told me today. (I wasnt going to buy the floor model)
