You can add Jamaica to the list of countries where you can pick up a netbook subsidized by your cellphone carrier. Claro Jamaica is starting to offer customers a free Dell Inspiron Mini 10 when they sign up for 3GB/month play for about $34 per month (plus a $67 fee up front).
The netbooks will work with Claro’s 3G wireless broadband network. Competitor Digicel plans to begin offering netbooks as well. But that won’t happen until after Digicel rolls out its new 4G WiMAX network in mid-2010.
