You’ve seen it photographed. You’ve seen it unboxed. Now it’s time for a detailed review of the Kohjinsha DZ, the first 10.1 inch netbook to feature two side-by-side displays. WOW-Pow has posted a 3-part video review that runs for over 20 minutes. Here are some of the highlights:
- The sliding mechanism for the display seems pretty solid
- You can operate the screens in extended or clone mode, but you can’t plug in an external display and use 3-screen mode
- The screen wobbles a bit because of the heavy display, but the swivel/hinge is pretty sturdy
- The 1.6GHz AMD Neo CPU gets a higher Windows 7 performance rating than a 2GHz Atom Z550
- Overall performance is pretty decent, but HD Flash video is a non-starter without Flash Player 10.1 beta
- Local HD video plays smoothly
- AMD’s power-saving software can underclock the CPU and GPU automatically when you unplug the power adapter
- 3D game Castle Wolfenstein Enemy Territory plays smoothly
You can check out all three parts of the review after the break.
