NVIDIA’s Tegra platform enables HD video playback on low power devices by combining an ARM-based processor with NVIDIA graphics. The first Tegra powered device to hit the market is the ZuneHD, but we should start seeing more mobile devices and netbooks using the platform in the coming months.
But according to Fudzilla, NVDIA is already looking ahead to the next generation Tegra platform.
Tegra 2 will be available sometime in 2010 and it will use a dual core ARM9 based CPU to provide enhanced performance for cellphones, smartbooks, portable media players, and other devices.
