nvidia 311

NVIDIA is running a contest through November 22nd where you can enter to win a custom HP Mini 311 laptop, and HP external Blu-Ray drive, an HDMI cable, a laptop case, and a boatload of software including the games The Sims 3, Portal, and Left 4 Dead, which will presumably run on the HP Mini 311 thanks to the integrated NVIDIA ION graphics.

The laptop has an 11.6 inch display, 1.6GHz Intel Atom N270 CPU, 3GB of RAM, 320GB hard drive, and Windows 7 Home Premium. It includes 802.11b/g WiFi and Bluetooth.

The contest package also includes 3 Blu-Ray movies and a $50 credit to rent or stream movies from CinemaNow.

NVIDIA is giving away 12 of these packages. You can find details on how to enter at the NVIDIA contest page.

  1. THIS CONTEST IS VOID WHERE RESTRICTED OR PROHIBITED BY
LAW. OPEN TO LEGAL RESIDENTS OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA
(EXCLUDING PUERTO RICO AND ITS OTHER TERRITORIES AND POSSESSIONS)
    AND CANADA (EXCLUDING QUEBEC).

so much for that contest for me…

    1. I would feel sorry for you, except it’s another contest that INCLUDES Canada. FINALLY.

Generally speaking, if you’re outside the USA, you’re SOL. But they’re including Canada? WTF? AWESOME!

      1. Canada but not Québec? WTF? I guess I’ll get a 311 when XP versions get their prices cut in a few months’ time…

        1. If quebec wasn’t so insistent on trying to remain apart from the rest of canada, then companies would spend the money to decipher their archaic, outdated civil code related to lotteries and giveaways.

        2. I say that’s a good call by NVIDIA about Quebec. I went there once and the people were NASTY….two people in our party even spoke fluent French. I mean exactly how screwed up do you have to be to be angry and bitchy when someone orders pancakes and bacon. I came for breakfast not your piss-poor attitude.
