Actually, the AMD Neo options are available in the DM3z, including an optional discrete Radeon HD 4330. Like with other models, they have a different suffix (z) for the AMD version instead of the Intel option (DM3t).

I think it may take a while before we get completely out of the 1GB RAM-160GB HDD woods; the computer makers are bound to have a lot of those parts sitting around still.

If AMD has a cpu that optimised for Win7, why are they not using it in the Win7 computers?

I am glad that Win7 did not make the price go up too much. Low price is the appeal – at least for me – for netbooks.

It would be good fun to see who is going to buy those US$5000 super light Toshibas, Fujitsu and Sony ultraportables once all these CULV 11.6 machines come out big time.

Who in the right mind would buy a 5000 Toshiba notebook when a 589 Asus UL20A is good enough? (http://www.dynamism.com/#Product=toshiba_rx1)

Correction: On the DM3, I see ONLY AMD options starting at under $500 (corporate discount). I don't know where all the Intel options are. I like options and really wish I had waited before buying my HP 5101.

Can't find any mention of the AS1810TG. Is it something that's been announced (or leaked) or just something that would be cool if it existed? It caught my attention because it would basically be everything I want in a light lappy — little higher specd proc., dedicated graphics with the 11.6″ inch form factor. Here's to hoping.

Hehe, I'll look into it.
I like real-world tests better than benchmarks, so I usually like to see how
a PC handles when watching online video, movies from the hard drive,
transcoding audio and video files, and the like... but maybe I'll get around
putting together a standard test soon and if I do that I'll consider making
it available for download.
