glad you realised your mistake. i mean the u810 is not even in the class of the t91mt. and lets not even get into the aesthetics of the u810

hi there well priced at $549 for a 32 gb ssd 1.33 ghz cpu and a 8.9 inch multi-touch screen too priced right around the new apple 32 gb ipad for $599 they wont say on ram 1 ghz A4 cpu a 9.7 inch multi-touch led screen 10 hour battery life well if asus want too top apple they should release a 10 inch multi touch with a whopping 128 gb ssd for $999 becuase the apple tops out at a 64 gb ssd ipad for $699 and based with 16 gb ssd for $499 soo apple dose not have a 128 gb ssd ipad yet soo asus could over take apple with a 128 gb ssd multi-touch tablet or netbook

I realize this is a very old comment at this point, but I just thought I'd let you know that you were right. I sold my U810 and just picked up a T91MT. The U810 had an overheating problem, and the screen was just too small to do anything productive with.

The Asus T91MT is fanless and absolutely silent. It never gets warmer than my phone does after a long call. I managed to work around the small SSD by supplementing it with an SD card, and it's working well for me so far!

The T91MT is definitely larger and heavier than the U810, but it's still small and light enough to hold it in my hands comfortably while I ride the train to work. =)

Well, for my purposes, 800MHz Pentium M class CPU is in no way slower than a 1.33GHz Atom. The OS I replaced with Windows 7 immediately, so that was a non-issue as well. (Though granted, I am a software trainer and have access to Microsoft products at a very reduced rate.)

For me, the size of the HDD is more important than silence, and Asus has a reputation for putting quite slow SSD's in their systems, so I'd say the jury is still out on any speed comparison! They are both easy enough to upgrade, though.

The size and weight of the U810 is about 2/3 of the T91MT. To carry with me everywhere, I really prefer something that is less than 2lbs. And as for price, I paid only $400 for the U810. I would NOT have paid full price, so your point stands on that!

Now, Multitouch is certainly something I wish I had on the U810, especially since I am running Windows 7! Though for me, accurate pen input is more critical.

But this all comes down to personal preference. The T91MT is a fantastic little machine. It's not quite as suited to my needs as the U810 is, but I think it does represent significant progress in a market segment that is still developing. I can't wait to see what the future holds! [=^D

When I compare the two, Fujitsu U810 has:
- slower cpu
- older and slower os
- slower, non-ssd harddisk with slightly larger capacity
- much smaller display
- no multitouch
- smaller width, but bigger height
- 100% larger price

t91mt is not perfect, but for me it surpasses u810 is practically ever aspect

The 1GB RAM restriction was one of Microsoft's arbitrary “cheap XP license” requirements. This machine ships with Windows 7 Home Premium, so it could easily come standard with 2GB… and should!

Sadly, the chipsets Intel currently makes available for most netbooks and other Liliputers have a 2GB upper limit on RAM.

But my post was mainly about what I'd like to see in the future anyway. This entire market segment is still developing!

Well this would be considered as a netbook which means it will be only shipped with 1GB of RAM.

The model looks good, but let us wait and see how customers like the model…..

Expensive to be considered a netbook though!
