Dell seems to have some sort of love/hate relationship with the Inspiron Mini 9. After phasing out the 8.9 inch netbook a few months ago, the company brought the mini-computer back for a 4-day sale last month, and promised/threatened that this would be the last time the Mini 9 would be available.
But it turns out Dell had a change of heart. Because the Mini 9 is now available for order from Dell.com again, with an estimated ship date of August 24th. Sure, the netbook doesn’t show up when you select the Mini link in the Laptops section of the Del web site. But if you use the direct link, you can configure an Inspiron Mini 9 for the starting price of $299.

Should make the hackentosh-ers happy.
Now if only HP would bring back the 2140 again…
These are always hot and why not? Small, portable and affordable Notebook Computers backed with a solid Dell warranty, I can see why Dell has raised the dead once again.
This may seem like a great buy, however you can go to Walmart and purchase the Mini 10 with 160 gb hd, 1 gb ram and Windows XP for the exact same price. Sorry Mini 9 is not a deal to me.
Interesting that they don’t offer Ubuntu Linux as an option, just WinXP.
Too much.
