Intel is expected to showcase a number of new products at the Intel Developer Forum or IDF in September. That includes a number of Moorestown-based MIDs, details about its next-generation Medfield platform for MIDs, and the first netbooks based on the Intel Atom N450 processor.
Atom N450-based netbooks aren’t expected to hit the streets until this fall, but if Intel is going to be ready to show off the platform by the end of September, it sounds like we could begin seeing these next-gen chips show up in computers sooner rather than later.
The Intel Atom N450 processor is expected to offer similar performance to today’s Atom N270 and N280 chips while consuming less power.
