1005hab-wireless

Asus is set to roll out its new Eee PC 1005HA netbook soon.  And the drivers and a handful of software utilities are already available on the Asus support site. Several members of the EeeUser Forums report that the wireless driver for the Eee PC 1005HAB can be installed on the Asus Eee PC 1000HE and that it improves the netbook’s wireless stability.

Users who say they occasionally had to reboot their Eee PC 1000HE netbooks before due to lost wireless connections are now running for days on end without losing a connection.

The new driver is for an AW-NE785 wireless card, while the Eee PC 1000HE has an AW-NE771 wireless module. If you’re not 100% certain that your netbook has this wireless module, you might want to open up your computer and take a look at the label on the WiFi card before installing the drivers.

Never had problems with the wireless connection on my 1000HE. It's always worked flawlessly.

I've tried this and there is definitely an improvement. I used to have random troubles with the wireless. For example, every one of my neighbors' networks would show up but not mine, I would lose wireless after sleeping and some other annoyances. The new driver seems to have fixed everything.
