MilaX is an operating system based on Solaris Nevada. What sets MilaX apart is the fact that it’s designed to run on a USB flash drive. The operating system has pretty low system requirements, which makes it ideal for running on slower systems like older computers or modern netbooks. It requires just 256MB of RAM and a pentium or Celeron CPU.
The team behind MilaX recently launched version 0.4, as well as a version optimized for running on Eee PC netbooks.
This isn’t really an operating system for casual netbook users. But if you’re an OS junkie looking for another fix, it might be worth checking out.
