Targus has offered a line of accessories that are useful for netbook users for a while, including a portable mouse, small laptop/DVD player cases, and USB hubs. Now the company has put together a “Netbook Accessory Kit,”that includes a Slipskin Peel Netbook case for 10.2 inch mini-laptops, a USB optical mouse with a retractable cable, and a mini 4-port USB hub.
The slipcase weighs 7 ounces, the mouse is just 1.1 ounces, and the USB hub is another 1.1 ounce, which means that the whole set weighs just a bit more than half a pound and won’t weigh you down when you’re on the road with your netbook. Of course, some people believe the whole point of mobile computing is to carry as few items as possible. So this kit might not be for everyone.
Update: The official product page is up, and now we know the price for the whole netbook kit: $39.99.

wait, what do i need a usb hub for when I’m on the move???
Am I carrying more than 3 usb devices with me too??? 😉
It seems strange that the slip case as pictured provides no place to carry the accessories.
Wow, nice, a slip case with accessories. Forget that most netbooks already come with a slip case; Targus, where am I supposed to put these accessories?
