wind-c120MSI has been showing off a series of nettop and all-in-one computers combining low cost and power efficient processors for a few months. Now the first MSI nettop is available in the US. The MSI Wind C120 is a small and low power desktop computer that has the same basic guts as an MSI WInd U120 netbook. That means you get a 1.6GHz Intel Atom N230 CPU (the desktop equivalent of the Atom N270), 1GB of RAM, a 160GB hard drive, a 4-in-1 card reader, 802.11b/g WiFI, and integrated Intel GMA950 graphics.

The Wind CS120 also has a slot-loading DVD burner and 7.1 channel audio. It has a total of 6 USB ports and a VGA output. Sorry, no HDMI on this model.

The package measures just 9.5″ x 2.6″ x 1.1″ and consumes 35 watts at peak performance. You can pick one up today from Amazon for less than $320.

Too expensive. DVD drives are cheap and they save the money on the LCD panel. Nice try.
  • You had me up until "no HDMI" although the Intel GMA950 did sour it until the deal breaker at the end. I already have an Asus B202, so the only thing the MSI has is the DVD-RW drive. If I didn't already have the B202, I'd be more interested in the CS120.

Once someone comes out with a model with HDMI, and preferably something better than an Intel GMA, I'll be ready to buy.
