The MSI X340 is one of MSI’s upcoming thin and light computers that aren’t really netbooks. But they apply some of the principles of netbooks to larger machines. They have low power, low priced processors which help keep the overall cost of the computer down. So while the X340 looks a lot like the MacBook Air, it will likely retail for less than half the price. It also won’t be nearly as powerful, but the X340 will have a user replacable battery, 3 USB ports, an Ethernet jack, VGA port, WiFi, and a 3G modem.
Johannes at NewGadgets.de managed to get his hands on a pre-production model of the MSI X340 and he shot a video overview which you can find after the break. Although the video is in German, you can click the menu button in the video to enable English captions.
