The folks at UMPC Fever have gotten their hands on the NEC Versa N1100 netbook we first got a look at back in October. And it turns out this machine is just as unattractive as the press shots indicated.
It has an incredibly boxy looking design with sharp corners instead of the rounded or tapered edges we’re used to seeing in today’s netbooks. So while the Versa N1100 might not actually be much larger than other netbooks on themarket, it looks a lot bulkier. The large bezel around the screen certainly doesn’t help.
I’m also not a fan of placing buttons to the left and right of a touchpad instead of directly below it. But this move does provide a bit more space for a nearly full sized keyboard. If you don’t mind a white keyboard on a black computer.
