The Asus Eee PC 1000H may have a nice matte screen. But it’s got a glossy lid and a glossy wristpad, which means it’s prone to attracting fingerprints. Lots and lots of fingerprints. One member of the EeeUser forums found a rather unique solution: He gave his Eee PC a paint job. A Corvette yellow paint job.

To get a professional finish, he put 8 coats of paint on the netbook. The whole process took about three days. In other words, this hack isn’t necessarily for beginners – unless you’re OK with your netbook looking like it was colored by crayon rather than paint.
