Netbooks are big in Europe right now. How big? Like, you can find them in grocery stores big. This summer food retailer Aldi began offering Medion Akoya Mini netbooks, which are basically rebranded versions of the MSI Wind U100. Now Lidl, a competing grocery chain will begin offering a mini-notebook called the Targa Traveler 1016 in Germany (and possibly other markets) next week.

Starting on December 15th, you’ll be able to buy a Targa Traveler 1016 at Lidl stores. The netbook has a 1.6GHz Intel Atom CPU, 1GB of RAM, and a 160GB hard drive. It packs a 10.2 inch, 1024 x 600 pixel display, a 6 cell battery, 3 USB ports, 802.11b/g/draft-n WiFi, Bluetooth, an flash card reader, and a 1.3MP webcam. The netbook weighs 1.3kg or about 2.9 pounds and will cost 369 Euros or about $475 US.

And you can pick up some bread and milk while you’re at it.
