samsung-nc11While Samsung is having trouble keeping up with demand for the Samsung NC10 netbook, it looks like the company is already looking ahead toward the next model.  There are several pages on Samsung’s Korean web site that refer to a Samsung NC11 netbook.

There don’t appear to be a ton of differences between the two models. The NC11 will be available with Windows Vista or Windows XP, but otherwise both netbooks look pretty similar. In fact, the drivers, user manual, and firmware available for the NC11 seems to be identical to the software available for the NC10. It’s possible there are other differences, but the fact that Samsung hasn’t bothered to put out a new user manual would either indicate that the differences are minimal or that someone posted the wrong link for the manual.

  1. The NC11 has been listed on several websites including Samsung’s own for ages now – long before the NC10 even shipped or the first review was published. It’s cool to see a few details on it finally appearing. I wouldn’t hope for it to be different though – one such site I saw it listed on was a European site rating greenness / recyclability of various products – and it listed the NC11 as being precisely the same weight and materials as the NC10. Hence it’s pretty darned unlikely that things like the speakers / touchpad / screen have been changed if you ask me…

  2. I am in the process of purchasing an NC10. It would be quite a disappointment if a replacement was issued before most people even get their hands on the first model. I think Samsung needs to explain themselves immediately.

  3. I also see indicated 12inch but on a different page they show 10inch.
    Also read that the watt of the speakers is 3 instead of the 1 from the NC10.

    In my openion good improvement should be;
    better speakers
    placement of speakers should be improved
    3G included
    a bit large mouse/trackpad
