7 of the top 10 computers sold on Amazon during “Cyber Monday” yesterday were netbooks. This would be big news except for the fact that netbooks have been hanging out firmly at the top of the Amazon charts for months now.
What is new is just how cheap these top sellers are getting. When I last grabbed a screenshot of the Amazon top sellers, the two computers at the top of the list were going for about $400 and $480 respectively. Now the chart is topped by the ASUS Eee PC 900HA and a Acer Aspire One.
The most popular netbooks on Amazon are the ones with high capacity 6 cell batteries, which provide 4 to 6 hours of battery life, even if they add a few ounces to the pounds of these tiny laptops.
