Thinking about picking up an HP Mini 1000 netbook, but worried that the $399.99 starting price isn’t enough? For an extra $300 you can get the designer Vivienne Tam edition of the netbook which was first unveiled (sort of) back in October. It’s now available for order from HP’s web store.
Aside from the fancy red color and artistic case design, the special edition HP Mini 1000 is a lot like the regular edition HP Mini 1000. It has a 10.2 inch, 1024 x 600 pixel display, a 1.6GHz Intel Atom CPU, and 1GB of RAM. This particular model comes with a 16GB solid state disk which you can upgrade to a 60GB hard drive for an extra $25. If you want to go all out, you can spend another $199 to add an integrated 3G modem.
