German computer maker MaxData is launching a 10 inch netbbook called the Belinea o.book 1XS. Normally the Belinea name seems to be reserver for monitors, not computers, but hey, netbooks are all about breaking the rules, right?
The o.book looks like a pretty typical entry in the netbook market. It’s got a 1.6GHz Intel Atom N270 CPU, a 10.2 inch, 1024 x 600 pixel display, 1GB of RAM, a 160GB hard drive, 802.11b/g WiFi, and runs Windows XP. It measures 10.3″ x 7.1″ x 1.2″ and weighs 1.3kg or about 2.9 pounds.
The netbook has a 3 cell, 2200mAh battery which seems a bit light to me. MaxData also offers a 2 year warranty, which isn’t something you see every day. The Belinea o.book 1XS is priced at 339 Euros.
