For those devices, would be cool using a small SSD (or a BIOS chip with coreboot (http://www.coreboot.org)) for the OS, a large HDD for saving big data that should be accesed frequently, a pendrive/portable hdd or a laptop/phone for storing your personal info that you'll want to access everywhere and a NAS for things you have to share with users of your LAN.

And last, for the computers in cars, their screens would be placed in the panel behind the steering wheel and interpretate all the commands of the car (such like the acconditionated air, the turning lights, the music and video player, etc. except the things used to driving, like the pedals and the steering wheel)

Oh yeah…. I dont get touchscreen part of the top. I tried the Touchsmart picture thingie at a store and I felt my shoulder and elbow the same feeling I got from the first week with the Wii::

And I dont get thel Atom-powered mini-desktop.
Im not sure what it could do that our netbooks couldnt do. (not to mention that we have a desktop with 4GB ram and 512 video card and 22' screen sitting quietly in the corner….lonely.)
The only thing that I could see that would interest me would be size. Something small that I could install out of sight or in the camper….BUT its not small.

The EEE Box is SMALL. The size of a paperback for $300.

It really is a netbook without the screen.

This things only resemblance to a netbook is that crippled chip.
This lack of power is a trade off people are willing to make on a netbook because of price, portability and limited usage of a 2nd or 3rd home computer like a netbook which is web based usage.

But where in the house would I need this underpowered desktop at $386US?

I checked Futureshop and for 349$ canadian pesos you get an HP tower Pentium Dual-Core 2.4GHz w.4GB ram, nvidia 128 video card, 500GB HD, DVD superscribe, Vista, card reader, keyboard,mouse.
