Computer maker Touchmate showed off a new 10 inch netbook at the Hong Kong Electronics Fair this week. The Touchmate PC210 stuff features a 10.2 inch, 1024 x 600 pixel display, 1GB of RAM, and a 120GB hard drive.
The computer sports 802.11a/b/g WiFi. The support for 802.11a sets it apart from other netbooks, but I don’t know too many people who actually rely on that band.
The PC210 also packs a 1.6GHz VIA C7-M CPU and VIA Unichrome graphics. I wouldn’t be terribly surprised to see Touchmate upgrade this netbook to use the upcoming VIA Nano CPU when it becomes available, since the Nano is designed so that it can be dropped into motherboards built for the C7-M CPU.
- First VIA Nano-powered PC shows up at Computex
- VIA launches Nano 3000 CPU for low power netbooks, desktops
- VIA Nano based netbooks coming this year, no really (probably)
- VIA introduces new mini-mainboards for Nano processors
