Ever wish you could find a 2.2 pound netbook with WiMax, two screens and no keyboard or touchpad, and the ability to give you backrubs? Intel and Asus want to know about it. The companies have partnered to launch a web site called WePC where anyone can describe their dream computer and draw a rudimentary piture using an on-screen drawing program.
Theoretically, the companies might occasionally troll the concepts looking for good ideas, or just to see if there are a large number of people looking for laptops with specific features. The site encourages you to submit ideas for notebooks, netbooks, and “gamer PCs.”
The concept is pretty cool. Now we just have to sit back and wait to see whether the companies have any plans to bring a netbook with a 1TB solid state disk to market for under $99 like I suggested anytime soon.
