HP showed off a new designer edition of the HP Mini-Note netbook last night at a New York City Fashion Week event. The netbook is called the HP Digital Clutch and it’s inspired by designer Vivienne Tam’s designs.

Under the fancy exterior it sure looks a lot like the HP Mini-Note. But Laptop Magazine’s Joanna Stern spotted something interesting: It appears to have a 10 inch display rather than the 8.9 inch display that comes with the current generation of Mini-Note. The new version does appear to have the same roomy keyboard that we’ve come to know and love. Honestly, I think HP has done a better job with the keyboard than any other netbook maker to date.

What we don’t know yet is what processor is under the hood of the HP Digital Clutch. If this is truly a prototype of an upgraded Mini-Note (I assume HP will release a 10 inch netbook without the pink flowery design at some point), will it have the same VIA C7-M CPU as the first generation? Or will it pack a shiny new Intel Atom or VIA Nano CPU?

  1. Just you wait until Paris Hilton and Lindsay Lohan start carrying one of these, then everyone will want one.
