This model is powered by the same Celeron processor of the original 7 inch EEE PCs.

I've actually acquired one with Linux and installed XP on it. Performance was quite surprising for me. Since the celeron is not as energy efficient as the Atom the battery lasts for about 4 hours.

asus is now coming out with another 10inch, 1000ha (maybe new to the US?). it's in pearl white with 160G hard drive. there are no other difference I could find.

i thought i saw it listed atom, but now it says Intel Dothan, the next generation of pentium M. i don't know who's right, amazon or j and r? but i guess asus wasn't right in the first place....

Installing Ubuntu Eee is not without problems. My Bluetooth mouse doesn't work.

great…now its really time to return my 1000h since i got it for 499+tax. this will save me $150 since i have multiple xp home licenses left over still
