I am hoping that one of the reviewers will get a chance to actually get into one of these systems, which probably won't happen until Lenovo actually starts shipping them out I am hoping that the RAM is NOT soldered onto the board, leading to the 1.5GB limit. (if this is all true of course)

When will we be able to actually confirm what the specs are regarding the memory capacity and whether or not it has bluetooth?

Lenovo must use the same production forcasting software and the same factory for the S10 as for the MSI Wind 6-cell.

I called Lenovo today regarding my system (with an estimated ship date of 9/9), and he informed me that the system is shown as being “packaged” or “packed”, I can't remember the exact word. He wasn't really sure what that meant, but thought that it could ship earlier due to this “packaged” status. I can hope.

Actually the email about the errors were only if you wanted to cancel to send a reply. I didn't reply. My status change from Processing to in progress yesterday so maybe some will ship earlier than october. But if you ordered late your probably have to wait longer.

It's not a surprise considering the confusion and chaos around the initial batch of S10 orders:

- Lenovo takes orders, lists X4500 for all models and a bundled DVD drive with the red model
- Lenovo sends out emails stating "oops" we are using the GMA 950 not the X4500
- Lenovo sends out emails stating "oops" we are not including any external drives
- both emails require customers to reply in order for their orders not to be cancelled
- no concrete information as to the specifications of the machines, nor what will actually be included
- conflicting information from customer service as to whether or not Bluetooth is included
- calls to customer service are informed that the estimated ship date of "9/9/2008" is in fact a lie, orders will ship as late as October

It's all been a bit troubling, especially from a major laptop manufacturer.
