I am having trouble mounting an installation of ubuntu from a usb onto an acer aspire one netbook. it doesn't want to mount a volume. Any ideas or help

i really like ubuntu, but honesly, the boot time is just too BAD for a netbook. I was thinking about giving it a try (and i probably will just for fun), but this boot time is really a downfall. anyway, ubuntu is really flexible and user friendly and i guess it's worth the test…

I installed it on my aspire and I like it better than Linpus. One bug: audio does not word after resume from suspend. Boot does take a long time – 30 seconds.
