ACER NETBOOK SIGHTING! Not that this is related to this article, but I was doing my usual rounds searching for sites that are listing any new netbooks and I stumbled across a very scant listing for Acer's new netbook on COMPUTERS4SURE.com which is essentially a sister site to Office Depot and Tech Depot. If you search for Acer Atom, 2 machines pop up - a blue and a white unit, both for 372.95. The scant specs are just they have 512MB/80GB/8.9 screen. No indication of OS - probably Linux due to the 512MB, but I'm not sure since it has the 80GB HD which was described as for the XP machine. You can actually place an order, but it's not in stock. No salespeople to talk to until Monday, so that's all the info I got. But the price is very good if that's the XP version, and not too bad for a linux machine with the atom. Stay tuned for more info...
