While I still haven’t seen an official US or European release date for the Acer Aspire One, it does look like Acer is planning on shipping a limited number of computers in July — in Thailand.
Blogeee reports that Acer will have about 20,000 units available in July for about €290 or $451 US. That’s a little pricier than the $379 Acer had promised, but it’s possible that the price will be lower when the Aspire One hits the US. It’s also possible that Acer is being hit hard by the same battery shortage that’s affecting other PC makers and felt the need to boost prices a bit.
Either way, it looks likely that Acer may start to roll this tiny computer out in other markets by the end of the summer.
