I’m still working on setting up Windows XP on my Mini-Note, but I wanted to share something. Not only does XP boot faster than Windows Vista, as you’d expect, but it boots faster than SuSE. Like 60 seconds or less fast. Check out this video where I hit the power button on an Eee PC (”overclocked” to run at 900MHz) and the Mini-Note.

Both computers are running Windows XP SP3 RC2.

How is XP working on your HP 2133? Are all the driver available? I am waiting on my mini-note to arrive and have been thinking of putting XP on it. Let us know how it goes!

I’m pleasantly surprised! I was expecting the hard drive and VIA processor to be a handicap for startup times, but it looks like it pretty much has parity with a full speed EEE.
