It's becoming more usual for kids to have their own computers but I think they are currently considered too expensive for kids to own (and break) whereas netbooks are cheap enough and still be useful for kids to have (and take to school).<br><br>Having owned Acer laptops I'm very keen to see what they come up with, their current laptops look a bit Fisher Price, hopefully they will go back to some cool designs again. I didn’t have the light running for more than 15 minutes. The battery lasted approximately 6 hours before recharging. The LCD, however, had a few dead pixels - never saw this before. So you could control your power, cheap desktop with your eeepc/mini note... though the small screen would me resizing or scrolling around a large desktop screen.
